What speakers do I need for the best 7.1 sound?
I recently purchased an Integra DTR 6.9 receiver. This receiver is of 7.1 audio and bi-amping capability. My question is equivalent to the best speakers that I have, and how / where I want to be? I have large rectangular room. My current device is two front floorstanding Klipsch. My center is a Polk CS400. My sub is an old Sony 10 ". My rears BOSE Surround is 301. For now I have a JVC Center and a Cerwin Vega center set up, as have my surround left and right. Should I keep the centers where they are, or should I buy some new surrounds? Should I replace the Bose 301 is a device with surround sound speakers? Thank you.
Sounds like you have allot going on … Different types, brands and qualities of the loudspeaker can be a very confusing lead to rig … The ideal configuration for every home theater would be to have all speakers match … Bose speakers have been developed before there was surround sound … This is the principle behind the "Direct / Reflecting" theory … It creates the illusion of surround sound from just two speakers … And so are not the best choice for true surround … If You shop for new speakers … OPINIONS never hear about … JUST LISTEN TO THE SPEAKERS! ..
